Gamma Phi-bulous fabric: the pink carnation

March 13, 2012

We’re working on pattern designs for Gamma Phi Beta sorority members so they can celebrate their official flower – the pink carnation – in a new (fabric) way!

We plan to tweak and/or complete more patterns than pictured here. We think the fabrics could be used to make gift totes, tablecloths, to cover big Greek letters for recruitment, or whatever members can dream up.

Our goal is to have several ready this summer (June 2012). Hopefully we’ll have some actual gift items made up, and for sure the actual fabric for sale. We’re pretty thrilled about this. We’d love to hear what you think. Ideas anyone? Which one’s your favorite? Leave us a comment.

This new Pink Carnation line of fabrics is inspired by the four founders of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority: Helen, Frances, Adeline, and Mary. You can read about them here. We’ll talk more about what this means as we complete our designs.

Easy University Recruiting.

There is a limit to what most of us marketers are willing to lug around to career fairs and small tradeshows. Yet we don’t want our booth property to suffer, so we don’t have to.

This portable fabric booth allows for limitless ways to display your brand while giving your back a break. Design tips: 1. Use powerful color, 2. Short copy – cut to the bone, 3. Leave the details for booth handouts or web sites, 4. Effortless images – high contrast graphics print better on fabric, 5. Tell a story that is memorable.

Recruiting? Let It Hang Out.

NoLimitsTshirt

Ask Prism designers to think recruiting T-shirts and flip-flops: Memorable takeaways without the hassles. Answering the “What’s fun?” question for graduating college students meant designing art for easy-to-buy products that print and ship well for the university recruiting season.

It’s also a way to make a two-color limit work for us.

The self-powered design finds its own life on student bodies since the “no limits” message on the far side of the fitted-T, or bleeding off the solid black flip-flops, helps make a corporate brand more approachable. Thanks, Baker Hughes Recruitment and HR – challenges like this get us thinking.
